I'm in search of any information about the old miniature steam train that sat on display for many years in front of Farmer Brown's (Antique store?). I believe it was located on the north side Powdermill Rd just east of Rt 1__but I may be wrong. I remember playing on this train in the '60s, and recall it disappearing along with the rest of the unusual stuff out front after the business closed down around '77(?) Comments: i had the fortune in staying in beltsville in the fall of 1990 and 1991. This was due to a temp assgnmt for the Gov....we stayed a month in Beltsville and stayed at the Holiday Inn...Do you know the NEW name of the hotel???

Its located on Powder Mill Road..

We worked for Fema in West Hyattsville....we lunched at the mall there and we learned how to use the light rail system....found the area very pleasant and friendly...traffic during peaak hours were surprisingly heavy around the school onn Powder Mill Road.
